First,
determine the priority of the crime; then determine the
outcome of the Preliminary Trial, and finally, The Trial.
Remember, ConX's "Aegis Handbook" has notes on
this topic, and various strings that can be pulled to get
PC's off the hook.

Preliminary
Hearing
Priority
5 & 6: Preliminary Hearing within 48 hours, where
bail is set or trial is declared void (if case is Very
weak or Weak, roll as if at trial; if successful, case is
voided).
Priority
3 & 4: Preliminary Hearing within 7 days, where bail
is set.
Priority
1 & 2: Preliminary Hearing within 14 days, where bail
is set.
For
bail to be refused the PC must fail an Influence test,
difficulty depends on evidence. Very weak case: 1. Weak
case: 2. Average case: 3. Strong case: 4. Very strong
case: 5.
The
Trial
Trials
occur 1d6 months after the Preliminary Hearing.
